Hi Ladies..........
I am Sylvia, 46, Mom to 5. Nice to meet you all!

Now at my age one would think Acne and Breakouts really should be something of the past.
You name a product, I probably tried it.
I am very frustrated.
Does anybody have a suggestion for me? Something that really works for you or has worked in the past.

We don't have health insurance, so a visit to a Dermatologist is out for now.

You may be starting menopause. The change in hormones causes breakouts and acne. It should go away the longer you progress through menopause. In the meantime, watch eating anything with lots of oils or fats. Peanut butter, potato chips, fried foods, possibly chocolate and sweets.

Skin is a part of the body just as the liver, heart and kidneys. When the flow of blood is hindered to the skin for any reason, the skin hardens, thickens and loses its normal appearance. As you grow older in years. the circulation of blood to the skin is lessened and it loses its youthful appearance; its color changes and wrinkles begin to form on its surface. The speed of aging starts at 25. It is slow between 30 to 35, fast between 35 to 50 and very quick between 50 to 65. But you can cheat the calendar and preserve your youth by giving your skin regular care and attention both from within and without. Find out what is your skin type. There are different types of skin and you should take care of your skin accordingly. The way to effectively treat your skin is knowing your skin type and what kind of nutrition your skin needs and act accordingly. Skincarecity has lots in store for your skin type.

Taking care of skin can be done in two ways. The first way of taking care is by external methods. The second way is by consuming right type of food. Skin care by external methods depends on the skin type. There are three basic skin types oily, dry and combination.
Oily Skin: Oily skin is usually shiny in appearance due to oil present in skin layer. Therefore it attracts more dust, which tends to stick to the skin. Settling of dust on the skin can result to clogging of pores, acne and other skin related problems. As skin is highly susceptible to outside dirt, appropriate care needs to be taken in order to maintain a healthy skin. Oily skin does not require moisturizing as it contains oil.

Dry Skin: Dry skin appears dry and sometimes tends to flake; it often feels tight after washing. This happens due to lack of oil in the skin layer. This is the key reason why it tightens up as the skin tends to react to weather changes. Dust does not tend to settle on dry skin as it is not oily. So people with dry skin are not prone to problems like clogging of pores and acne. As the oil contain in the skin layer is less, moisturizing is required.
